Hey there, Awesome content! Stopped by to 'see' the creator of Color Tabs. I adore color need it in my life as it always cheers me up. What is your fav color? If I am buying someone a gift I always go with Turquoise. It is the only color that looks good on everyone. Doesn't matter man or women, black white , redhead blond, brunette. Try it you'll see. I'm not a photographer but admire the work. As far as touching up pictures, you can have it both ways, right? Print a photo UN-enhanced. Then get artistic with the software to perfect your creation. Print that one. If I where a photo bug I would probably try an absurd third way as well. Photo shop it into the most ridiculous. Sort of of 'Lady Gaga' it. Then print that and show the 3 to your customer. They might pay more for the 3, an opportunity to decide for themselves between them. Keep up the good work my friend, you will go far! PS I also like the effect called Sepia, didn't see it here. Give it a try and make us a picture, OK?....EFT4MeDebi

Post manipulation of images. Sometimes it sounds like a dirty phrase.

I confess, YES I do it too.

However I do my best to get it right when taking the shot. Having a fairly recent move from 35m and 6x4.5 format I'm still in the habit of being 'frugal' with my shooting. While some may come back with 500+ images, I will only have 90-120.
I Work with these damn things called computers from Moday to Friday. I don't want to be parked behind one sifting through piles of dross looking for some thing that can be salvaged and then trying to beat it into something I'm not ashamed to show others.
Not being that skilled with Photoshop I try to keep my changes to a minimum. Play with the levels a little, tickle up the brightness and contrast and a touch of sharpening. On rare ocasions a dash of graduated filtering to improve the mood of the image. Cropping too as one can't always get the perfect composition at the time.

Any cabbage can blaze away and take a gazillion pics and get some of them right by accident. Trying to get it right when you shoot it is the best way, (in my opinion), to improve your skills as a photographer instead of a image emergency services..
